In addition to the photographs by Julius Shulman and Art Hupy for the April 1961 issue of Pacific Architect and Builder magazine, many photos were taken of the Coliseum that make the design intent and the historical value of the building clear. The bowl in the glass box, or the sensuous, curving form contained by a square box, are apparent in these photos. The arena being a unique light filled space with views to the outside are also clear. Historic photos confirm that Veterans Memorial Coliseum is an architectural masterpiece of international stature.
