Vulcan Development and the Portland Trail Blazers proposed an entertainment district in the Rose Quarter. First schemes demolished Memorial Coliseum, later schemes kept Memorial Coliseum, and surrounded it with retail, restaurants and bars. Cordish development from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania was the architect for the plan.
