Veterans' Solution

Since 2001, over 100 schemes have been proposed for Veterans Memorial Coliseum, 'from Soup to Nuts, from a Costco/Home Depot, to full demolition, to an amateur sports complex, to a hotel, peace garden, aquarium, housing, velodrome, to just leaving it alone. Many schemes came about through a community competition in 2010.

The Friends of Memorial Coliseum advocated all along for restoring the building and using it as an arena. After years of community input and investment, the consensus seems to now be that the building should be restored and used primarily for what it was intended for in the first place - an arena.
